Shipping & payment

How we dispatch handloom pieces and accept payment.

Dispatch

Ready-to-ship pieces leave our Kolkata warehouse within 3–5 business days. Made-to-order pieces ship when complete — you will receive an email and SMS with tracking once the piece is packed.

Domestic delivery

We ship across India via insured courier. Delivery typically takes 3–7 business days after dispatch, depending on your pin code. Remote locations may require an additional day.

Payment

We accept UPI, credit and debit cards, and net banking through Razorpay at checkout. All prices are listed in INR and include applicable taxes unless noted.

International

International shipping is available on request. Write to us at hello@baani.in with your country and the pieces you are considering — we will quote shipping before you confirm.

Returns & exchange

Our exchange policy for unworn handloom pieces.

Exchange window

Unworn pieces with tags intact may be exchanged within 14 days of delivery. The piece must be in its original packaging with no signs of wear, perfume, or alteration.

Final sale

Custom lengths, made-to-order pieces, and sale items marked final sale cannot be exchanged unless the piece arrives defective or materially different from its listing.

How to initiate

Email hello@baani.in with your order number and the reason for exchange. We will arrange a pickup from your address. Exchanges are subject to availability — if your preferred variant is sold out, we will offer store credit or an alternative.

Refunds

Refunds are issued only when an exchange is not possible. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days after we receive and inspect the return.

Product descriptions

We describe each piece by technique, region, and fabric. Handloom cloth varies naturally — slight differences in weave density, colour saturation, or motif placement are characteristics of the craft, not defects.

Pricing & availability

Prices may change without notice. Inventory for ready-to-ship pieces is updated regularly but is not guaranteed until checkout is complete. We reserve the right to cancel an order if a piece sells through before payment is confirmed.
